Compliance & research-use policy

1. Research Use Only

Every product is sold strictly as an in-vitro laboratory research material for use by qualified professionals in a controlled research setting. Our products have not been evaluated or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration or any other regulatory authority for the diagnosis, treatment, cure, mitigation, or prevention of any disease or condition in humans or animals.

Product descriptions, references, and supporting documentation describe published in-vitro and pre-clinical research context only. They are provided for scientific reference and do not constitute a therapeutic claim, instruction, or endorsement of any in-vivo use.

2. Eligibility & age

Materials are offered only to qualified research professionals and institutions. By acknowledging our entry notice and placing an order, you represent and warrant that you:

• are at least 21 years of age and have legal capacity to enter into this agreement;
• are a qualified researcher, or an authorized buyer purchasing on behalf of a research institution or commercial laboratory;
• are acquiring the materials solely for legitimate in-vitro laboratory research; and
• are authorized to receive and handle research chemicals under your institution’s policies and all applicable law.

We may decline, limit, or cancel any order, and may request documentation of research affiliation or end use, at our sole discretion.

3. Prohibited uses

You agree that you will not, and will not permit others to:

• ingest, inject, inhale, or otherwise administer any product to humans or animals, or use it as a drug, supplement, food, or cosmetic;
• use any product in a clinical, diagnostic, or therapeutic setting, or in or on the human or animal body;
• resell, repackage, relabel, compound, or distribute any product for human or veterinary consumption or for any non-research purpose;
• misrepresent the regulatory status of the materials or make therapeutic, dosing, or health claims about them; or
• use any product in violation of this policy, our Terms of Sale, or any applicable law.

Violation of this section is a material breach and may result in order cancellation, account termination, forfeiture of any refund, and referral to the appropriate authorities.

4. No medical claims or advice

Elyria Bio makes no claim that any product is safe or effective for any use in humans or animals. Nothing on this site — including product pages, documentation, blog content, or support communications — is medical, veterinary, or professional advice, a dosing recommendation, or a substitute for the judgment of a qualified professional. You assume full responsibility for the manner in which you use the materials.

5. Controlled substances & regulated materials

Elyria Bio does not knowingly offer materials that are scheduled controlled substances under the U.S. Controlled Substances Act. Regulatory status can vary by jurisdiction and can change over time. You are solely responsible for determining whether a material is regulated, scheduled, or otherwise restricted where you are located, and for obtaining any license, registration, or institutional approval required before purchasing, possessing, or handling it.

6. Export controls & restricted destinations

Products are sold for delivery within the United States and are subject to U.S. export-control and sanctions laws, including the Export Administration Regulations and regulations administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). By ordering, you represent that you are not located in, and will not export, re-export, or transfer any product to, an embargoed or sanctioned country, or to any party on a U.S. government restricted-party list. You will not use any product in connection with chemical, biological, or other weapons activity. We may refuse any order that we believe presents a compliance risk.

7. Safe handling, storage & disposal

These materials must be handled only by trained personnel using appropriate laboratory controls and personal protective equipment, and stored and disposed of in accordance with your institution’s safety protocols and all applicable environmental and hazardous-waste regulations. See our storage & handling guidance for general reference. You are responsible for treating every material as potentially hazardous and for maintaining a safe research environment.

8. Anti-diversion & verification

To protect the integrity of the research-supply chain, we maintain lot traceability and may verify research affiliation, monitor for unusual ordering patterns, and limit quantities. Orders that appear intended for personal use, resale for consumption, or other prohibited purposes may be held, declined, or cancelled. Lot authenticity can be confirmed through our batch lookup.

9. Enforcement

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion and without liability, to refuse service, cancel orders, suspend or terminate accounts, withhold shipment, and report suspected unlawful activity to law-enforcement or regulatory authorities. These remedies are in addition to any other rights available to us under our Terms of Sale or applicable law.

10. Reporting misuse or adverse events

If you become aware of misuse of our products, a counterfeit or tampered lot, or any safety concern, please notify us promptly through our contact page so we can investigate. Because our products are not intended for human or veterinary use, we do not collect or evaluate clinical adverse-event reports; medical emergencies should be directed to a licensed healthcare provider or emergency services.

11. Changes to this policy
